Swami Dayanand Saraswati in Mukteshwar
At Garh Mukteshwar, the famous bathing centre on the bank of river Ganga, Swamiji passed his time lying on the sand and meditating. It was Swamiji’s custom never to ask for food and as no one offered him food for three days, he remained hungry; eventually a manjhi (boatman) gave him half of his roti (chapati) which Swamiji ate.
